My whole life I've always wanted to make a difference in life. I honestly think thats why I decided to become an actress in the first place. As a child I always saw people in the media or on Television leading the way, or having the opportunity to reach out to the masses and send a message to make a difference.

This year I was asked to be a celebrity spokesperson along with Alex Trebeck for WORLD VISION. This May I will be traveling to Cambodia to shoot a one hour special to help encourage people to sponsor a child, raise money for the hungry, and help STOP Human Trafficking. The TV special will air mainly in Canada on all the major networks. I'm very honored to be a part of such an amazing organization and be an influential part of their purpose. Visit www.worldvisioncanada.com
soon you will see me on their site as well!

Along my journey, I am also going to be taking my video camera and a professional camera to take photos, and footage of "real life" moments and experiences of the people and families I meet. The photos and the video footage will be showcased at a Hollywood gallery event. The prints will be presented in an artistic way as well as have artists paint their own creations from the photos. All sales will be donated to World Vision.

I will keep you posted on the event as well as other details. I'm hoping you might want to get involved and help me make a difference by sponsoring a child, attending my gallery event or simply just getting the word out for others to attend!

The other organization I have been a part of is called Every Monday Matters. Go to www.everymondaymatters.com and you can learn more about their message and watch videos of some of the segments I hosted. I just attended the Red Carpet Book signing event in Hollywood last week spearheaded by Matt Emerzian, one of the authors of the EMM Book and the founder of EMM. I had so much fun making a difference in even a small way.
Check out the videos below, or you can see them on You Tube, or the EMM website.

I am very passionate about these organizations and I can't wait for the day when I go to Cambodia, look into a child's eyes in need and know I am making a difference. For those of you in Canada I hope you get to see the special, and sponsor a child. Its a wonderful feeling!

Much Love
Tanya
